Inc/Dec Button

Hi, I am a beginner and I'd like to stick to the VSTGUI if I can manage this - but it is hard to find good manuals / best practices: I use the new WYSIWYG-editor, I have a button and a texedit-view with a numeric value (two decimals). Whenever I press the button, the value of the textedit-view shoul...

Re: how to use own GUI / windows instead VSTI GUI?

Hi,

I have just (quite gratefully) discovered this post and I am wondering how to implement the parameter binding. Which functions should be overrided to accomplish that? I am thinking about using Juce for the GUI and authentication part.

Sorry for this rather newbie question 😊

Re: Redraw Policy

Adapting the method bool Parameter::setNormalized (ParamValue normValue) solved it (added a changed()) but I am not sure whether this is really the best method to handle this issue.

Re: Redraw Policy

Hi,

just enter -500 in the numerical value field and press enter, and then do this again. The first time, the value is corrected (to -oo) and the second time (and further times) nothing happens.

Redraw Policy

Hi, Sorry for bothering you with presumably old and already discussed topics, but I haven't found any solution (in this forum, the internet) that works for me: The following is also a problem of the again sdk-example by Steinberg: Entering wrong (out-of-range) values in the gain text field are not a...

Re: Processor // Parameter-Change

Basically, this also leads to the question whether I should convert between plain and normalized values within the controller or whether I simply use the Parameter::fromString and Parameter::toString methods and stick to normalized values in the controller environment.

OBJ_METHODS

Hi,

could anyone explain when to use OBJ_METHODS or OBJ_CLASS etc? In some cases that seems to be required in case of inheritance etc.

But when is this actually required? :) What do I win/gain?

Thanks and have a nice evening!

Processor // Parameter-Change

Hi, According to my Debugging-results I assume that the process-member of the processor-class will only get normalized parameter-values that were changed. Is this correct? That would imply: In the GUI I see the plain value that is then normalized via Parameter-class-members, and this normalized valu...
