Re: Errors buldding VSTGUI 4.6 (xstring_insert.h, string)

Hi Arne,

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I'm building the way I've have for the past 8 years, since back in the VSTGUI 3.6 days. If you think back to the way the sample projects were compiled back in version 3.6, that's the way I'm doing things.

Errors buldding VSTGUI 4.6 (xstring_insert.h, string)

I'm building using Visual Studio Community 2017. Below is a list of some of the errors. Any ideas? 1>c:\program files (x86)\microsoft visual studio\2017\community\vc\tools\msvc\14.12.25827\include\xstring_insert.h(21): error C2988: unrecognizable template declaration/definition 1>c:\program files (x...

Re: VSTGUI 4.2, attached() method is not being called

I figured it out, I just needed to call frame->open(ptr) after creating my frame.

VSTGUI 4.2, attached() method is not being called

Hi, Today I was trying to get a project ready to update to VSTGUI 4.5, as Linux support is of interest to me. As suggested, I worked on getting my code to compile properly which VSTGUI_ENABLE_DEPRECATED_METHODS=0. One change I had to make was in how I created my CFrame: //frame = new CFrame(editorSi...

How do I properly handle touch events in iOS?

Hi all, Are there any iOS experts with a tip to share? I develop a Windows/macOS/iOS application and the UI for my app is built on VSTGUI 4.3. I'm having troubles handling a "close" button for a dialog box in iOS. The idea is to remove a CViewContainer when the user clicks (touches) "close". The "cl...

Re: VSTGUI on iOS without VST SDK

Hi Arne, I was hoping you could point me in the right direction. So I've fInally found the time to work on this, but I'm still having trouble understanding where my CFrame is supposed to be coming when building for iOS. Here is how I construct my editor for various platforms: //VST3 class Editor: pu...

Re: VSTGUI on iOS without VST SDK

Hi Arne,

I checked out that project. My GUI is build around the old VSTGUI 3.6 way of doing this. For OSX and PC my editor is derived from PLUGGUIEditor and for iOS, it's currently being derived from VSTGUIEditor and friends. Am I stuck using the VST SDK?

Regards,
Rob
