Re: Request: Do not use InitDll/ExitDll & bundleEntry/bundleExit

Hi bluecataudio, there are special considerations *not* to rely on operating systems initializations of dynamic libraries. You're hitting an edge case here that is currently not supported by the VST3 SDK. We can try to find a solution for your problem, but I don't think that your proposed solution i...

Re: Issues with COpenGLView::setVisible() and addView()

Hi,
indeed the first one is a refactoring bug. For the second issue, can you write down the calls you make? That makes it more clear to me what you are doing.

Re: Type inconsistency

Hi,
VSTGUI is a separate module with no dependency to the VST SDK. That's why some things are different.
Do you have any specific problem with this ?

Re: Status LED

Hi,
according to your description you are doing it correctly. The again example uses the same mechanism, maybe you can spot the difference to your code. Look at the parameter with the kVuPPMId identifier.

Re: Status LED

Welcome,
there's a little bit of information missing from you. How do you have integrated VSTGUI in your plug-in? There are many ways in how to do it. Are you using the VST3Editor binding class and use the WYSIWYG editor, or do you have coded the integration yourself ?

Re: IPlatformFont issue when upgrading VSTGUI4.0->4.6

Regarding CFrame it's correct what you wrote. Otherwise read thru vstgui/doxygen/page_changes.h. Most breaking changes are written down there.

Re: IPlatformFont issue when upgrading VSTGUI4.0->4.6

I still think that the issue is that the compiler needs the

Code: Select all

vstgui/lib/platform/iplatformfont.h
include.
What happens if you add it to that file where the CFontDesc are used ?

Re: Mapping VST 2 parameters to VST 3

What exactly is not in the FAQ? The persistent state stuff or the parameter stuff ?

Re: IPlatformFont issue when upgrading VSTGUI4.0->4.6

So, you're compiling vstgui_win32.cpp ?
Then I don't know how this header:

Code: Select all

1>c:\<projectfolder>\<product>\source\wsplashwnd.h(37)
could be included other than changing the vstgui sources. And then I think you have a wrong order of includes in this file.
