Re: VST3 SDK returns wrong channel count on duplicating track

Hi Hari,
you can try to use IStreamAttributes on the stream in setState() and check the PresetAttributes::kStateType. Maybe when a track is duplicated it is not set. See ivstattributes.h for an example on how to use this.

Re: VST3 SDK returns wrong channel count on duplicating track

Hi Hari,
what is your use case that you need to know the difference if your plug-in is duplicated or restored ?

Re: VST3 SDK returns wrong channel count on duplicating track

Hi Hari,
you cannot query the host for channel configurations.
The host will try to set the channel configuration on your plug-in via a call to setBusArrangements ().

I'm currently short in time, if you can provide me with a sample project with source where I can check this, would speed this up.

Re: Host compatibility testing

I'm just wondering if it performs the same checks as the UI version. When I run vst3 validator (the one with sources in public.sdk/samples), it reports only 35 tests, where as the binary UI version displays 'Number of test: 16815' The VST3PluginTestHost checks more speaker arrangement combinations ...

Re: Host compatibility testing

Also I wanted to say the 'Unit test' feature in the VST3 Plugin Test Host is really great. However I haven't found a way to launch the unit test for a specific plug-in from the command line, which would allow using it inside an automated build/testing environment. Perhaps this could be put on the i...

Re: VST3PluginTestHost not calling destructor?

Don't use the constructor and destructor. Use the initialize(..) and terminate(..) methods to allocate/deallocate system resources.

Re: Linux X11 windowing in a VST 3.6.7 plugin using JUCE components

On Linux you need to embed a X11 window which supports the XEMBED protocol. I don't think that Juce supports this yet.

Re: Windows 64bits GUI very slow after updating to 4.3

OK, not much I can see, but I guess that you are redrawing your whole editor all the time. This is much worse on Windows as on macOS as macOS throttles redraws to 60 or 30Hz, while Windows does not do this. Another thing you should do is eliminate every offscreen buffer you have introduced yourself t...
