The VST SDK is now available under the GPL license. I wonder if the ASIO SDK could be available under an open-source license as well. With the recent Cakewalk demise, open-source software is becoming more and more important for the music industry, and enabling its ASIO support would be very beneficial. Many important open source libraries are provided under an MIT license. It could be a good option for ASIO SDK as well.
on a related note, i am curious whether it is OK to include the ASIO sdk files on github etc. If they were in a github repo that would be great (thanks for doing that for vst3!)
