How to compile on Linux, and how to compile to AU?

Post by pickled_cow_hooves »

Hi!

I am currently developing a simple VST on Linux, specifically Debian. Does anyone have a list of what special libraries are needed to compile this project on my platform? Is this even possible? I have yet to check the Visual Studio project file, mainly do to my unfamiliarity of developing C++ on Windows. Would that be a good place to start?

Also, is there anyway I can compile this into a AU for Apple, or LV2? Would the only option to use an open source wrapper?

Thanks!

Matt

We will provide very soon a preview version of the VST SDK working on Linux. This will use cmake. More info later. ...
